Key Partners

Cluster and Landscape Connect is proud to be working with WWF in the development of our group of farm clusters and landscape recovery projects that extends across Norfolk and Suffolk. The relationship between WWF and CLC has developed out of the work WWF, through the John Lewis Partnership (JLP), has been carrying out across Norfolk. This is explained in more detail below:

Working together

WWF and the John Lewis Partnership have been working together since 2022 to protect and restore nature in two key sourcing regions, funding ecosystem regeneration projects in areas where several of their suppliers are based.

Wholescape programme

In Norfolk, JLP are supporting WWF’s Wholescape programme, demonstrating that the benefits of sustainable agriculture, nature restoration and carbon sequestration are possible even in one of the most intensively farmed areas of the UK, creating and restoring wildlife-rich habitats across Norfolk’s terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments.

A key sourcing region

Norfolk is a key sourcing region for JLP’s products including pork, turkeys, cereal and vegetables.

The relationship

This relationship has been extended to support the CLC in the early stages of its development. WWF, and by extension the JLP, recognises the value of farm clusters and the landscape scale change for nature and habitat that can be realised when farmers, landowners and conservation bodies work together. For that reason, WWF has partnered with CLC to ensure the organisation is at the best possible place in order to support, promote and develop the work of farm clusters in Norfolk and Suffolk.
