David Lyles

David is a farmer and conservationist who has a deep knowledge of both farming and the countryside. For more than five decades he has farmed at Muckleton Farm, in the heart of the beautiful North Norfolk countryside. As well as farming, David is a keen conservationist and has truly followed his own desire to make farming a sustainable and more environmentally friendly business. He is a past recipient of the Ian MacNicol Memorial Trophy awarded to farmers who show a true commitment to enhancing the environment. More recently, David was the inspiration behind the North Norfolk Coastal Group, which developed following a Biodiversity Audit in conjunction with the UEA.

Kate Dewally

Kate has a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the University of East Anglia which used social sciences and geospatial mapping to research farm cluster groups. Alongside this she has worked in both commercial agriculture (pig production) and in conservation research (Cambridge Centre for Carbon Credits) meaning that she has a thorough understanding of the potential synergies between conservation and agricultural systems. Alongside this, Kate actively supports her local farm cluster groups, national farmer group networks and hosts a blog about farmer collaboration and nature friendly farming.
